How does GL1000 work?

GL1000 is capable of recognizing the caller ID of an incoming call and controlling the door of your house.
You could open the gate, garage by your Cell phone.

Example:

GL1000 requires a GSM SIM card installed inside. Let's suppose the SIM card's phone number is 0920038055. If you would like to open the gate or door of your home, you use your mobile phone to dial 0920038055. When GL1000 receives your call, it will identify your call ID. If your call ID is in the authorized list of GL1000, it will open the gate or door of your home for you. This call is free of charge, because GL1000 does not answer this call.

 
Q1: How many number entries can be stored in the authorized list of GL1000?

A: At least 1000 entries.

Q2: How do I program the authorized call ID list of GL1000?

A: You can delete or add authorized numbers anytime simply by sending an SMS to GL1000. The GL1000 will only accept the correct SMS format. The SMS includes a 4 digits password which provides high level of security. GL1000 also supports a connection to a PC via a USB port for editing authorized number entries.

Q3: Am I able to know when and number entry of which when a gate or door is opened?

A: Yes, the GL1000 keeps a history on incoming calls which consists of time and call ID. (It can easily be checked by connecting GL1000 to an USB port of a PC. Records can also be transferred into a Microsoft excel file. )

   
Q4: How do I know if I added or deteled authorized numbers successfully via SMS?

When GL1000 receives a SMS with correct format to add or delete an authorized number, it will reply a SMS to your cell phone showing "ADD / DELETE SUCESSFUL" or alternatively GL1000 can be connected to a PC through an USB port for checking.

   
Q5: Does it cost me anything to use my phone to open the gate?

GL1000 doesn't answer the call and opening the gate is free of charge. GL1000 simply checks the caller ID of an incoming call.
   
Q6: Can GL1000 open all kinds of locks/doors? Can I use it to control my garage door(s) or the electric swtiches that I have?

GL1000 is suitable for all kinds of electrically powered locks or switches.

Q7: If there is someone in between a door, could GL1000 detect it and stop closing that door? GL1000 has a detection port which could connect to sensors such as ray sensors. When a sensor detects someone or a car in between a door, GL1000 will stop closing that door.
   
   
Q8: If a door is left opened for a period of time, is GL1000 capable of detecting this? GL1000 has another detection port that could be connected to a sensor. When this sensor detects this door has been opened for 10 minutes(time interval is programmable), GL1000 sends a SMS with a warning of alarm.
   
Q9: If there is a power outtage, does GL1000 keep on operating?

GL1000 can be installed with a rechargeable batteryand can operate in a power outtage for 24 hours. GL1000 can be also installed with a solar panel kit to enable GL1000 to operate without electricity in places with daylight.

  • GL1000 has several operation modes:
  1. With switch A on, switch B turns on automatically after XX seconds. ( XX is programmable)
  2. With switch A on for XX seconds, turn switch A to off when next call is received ( XX is programmable)
  3. With switch A on, turn swtich B on when next call is received. GL1000 offers lots more modes.
Management Software :

GL1000 can be managed not only with use of SMS it can be also be managed by PCs by USB port connection. GL1000 makes management easy.

  • Authorized Caller ID management: Update a huge list and record detailed caller ID information such as address, owner and etc.

  • Change the operation mode of GL1000.
